This elegant Walnut writing desk is based on the Kneehole desks of around c1710.

The 'seaweed' marquetry decoration is one of the most demanding techniques requiring each panel to be cut in one go leaving little room for error. All the drawers are carefully dovetailed and finished with hand made drop handles.

 Of particular note is the period leather giving the piece some extra authenticity.
